HAVE YOU…
- Supported your spouse through school – and got dumped?
- Shared your great idea with a trusted colleague – who stole it?
- Went from the “employee of the year” working 80 hour weeks and missing all your kids’ major life events– to “Sorry it’s nothing personal, but we have to let you go”?
- Been financially responsible – only to lose your house, savings, and now you can never afford to retire?
- Acted with integrity – yet was the target of someone who spread viscous rumors that ruined your reputation?
Sound Familiar?
Let’s face it – we’ve all got screwed at one time or another in our lives.
Like death and taxes, it’s practically universal.
If you’re in the throes of being screwed or still reeling
from having been screwed, this is the workshop for you. During this powerful learning experience, you’ll hear stories and discover actionable strategies of others who have shared your lot: extraordinary people (whose names you will recognize), and ordinary people who suffered through challenges that were unwanted, undeserved, and unfair.
I should know. Like many of you, I’ve been royally screwed. Rest assured, I am not a pop-up Pollyanna doll with an annoyingly perky attitude. Screwed to Renewed is the result of my quest to shift (regain peace of mind, body, and spirit) after getting shafted. After wallowing in self-pity, I decided to play to my strengths and use my Ph.D. in psychology to conduct some research.
This workshop is a set of strategies, steps, and stories I’ve collected from deep study into the science of change as well as interviews with hundreds of people from all walks of life. Instead of empty platitudes, you’ll find real recommendations for real people facing real challenges.
Is being screwed difficult? Yes. Painful? Yes. Soul-wrenching? Most definitely. Yet, what emerges on the other side – if you get out of bed and don’t define yourself as the “screwee” – is often a stronger, smarter, and more successful person. You can even inspire those around you to take the “Cher Approach” and “just snap out of it.” That’s not pop psychology, that’s the truth – as demonstrated by me and others (and soon YOU!) who have overcome tough times, got over it, and got on with it.
Join me to explore tactics you can apply today to transform yourself from being
S-C-R-E-W-E-D to R-E-N-E-W-E-D including going from:
Stunned at Being so Stupid, Sorry for Yourself, Stalled and Appalled, and Suffering in Silence To Recognizing Your Contributing Patterns and Choosing to Change
Crying in Your Coffee, Cruelly Castigating Yourself, and Cuddling Your Cat To Emerging Out of Bed and Silencing the Snooze Alarm
Regretful, Resentful, and Revengeful To Not So Naïve
Ego-Bruised To Engaged in Life Enough to Phone a Friend
Wallowing in Self-Pity and Wishing It Were Different To Willing to Take A Chance Again
End-of-a-Dream To Ennobled in Your New Commitments (yes, it can happen – really)
